Mark Eckley
Mark Eckley BMASc, GDM, CBCP
Mark Eckley has been involved in emergency management and business continuity for over 20 years.
His experience within the Government of Alberta includes Senior Manager, Business Continuity Services of Alberta Justice and Attorney General, Acting Director Business Continuity Services, Emergency Management Alberta, where he was responsible for the organization and efficient operation of the overall business continuity program within the Government of Alberta.
Having served for 28 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, Mark was actively involved in many of Canada’s most recent emergency management operations including fire fighting operations in Saskatchewan (1978), flood relief operations in Winnipeg (1979), the Ice Storm in 1998. In addition, Mark participated in United Nations Operations in Cyprus, the Former Republic of Yugoslavia and Kosovo in which he assisted in the delivery and management of humanitarian relief and the coordination of numerous disaster response agencies.
